US Open Past Winners
The US Open has a long and glorious history with some great names picking up the trophy at various courses around the US, the record for most victories at the US Open is held by Jack Nicklaus, Ben Hogan, Bobby Jones and Willie Anderson who have won the title on four occasions. A certain Tiger woods is closing in on them as he has three US Open crowns to date and will be aiming to add to them over the next few years.
In the year 2000, Tiger Woods recorded a -12 par score to win the US Open at Pebble Beach which was a record score for the tournament and his winning margin of 15 shots is an al-time winning margin record in any Golf Major. The US Open in recent years has featured some very tough courses with many winners coming in with over par scores like in 2006 and 2007 when Geoff Ogilvy and Angel Cabrera won despite being +5.
